The Hidden Victims
When someone goes to prison, their family serves a sentence too. Children lose parents, spouses face financial hardship, and entire families experience shame and isolation. You can be the hands and feet of Christ to these families.
Ways to Help
- Transportation: Drive families to prison visitation
- Childcare: Watch children during visits or support groups
- Mentorship: Walk alongside children without present parents
- Support Groups: Lead or participate in family support gatherings
- Financial Assistance: Help with commissary, phone calls, or bills
- Holiday Support: Angel Tree and Christmas programs
